Connah’s Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the appointment of midfielder Kylie Jones as our new Women’s Captain for the 2023/24 season.

Jones joined The Nomads in the summer of 2021 and will now lead the side out on a permanent basis following a tremendous two years at the club and with so much more memories still to be made at the club, Jones cannot wait to wear the armband for the first time when our Women’s side travel to local rivals Airbus on the opening day of the Genero Adran North, Sunday 3rd September.

Upon being named as captain, Jones stated "I am really excited to lead the team out this season and I'm really proud to be the captain of a great group with staggering amounts of talent. I think with my experience and the togetherness within the group, we will definitely excel this season."

Women's manager Jordan Parry admits that appointing Jones as captain will certainly help lead his side to more success.

"It was a great feeling giving Kylie the captaincy for this season ahead, she fully warrants it after the all time she’s been at the club."

Parry added: "Kylie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team and leads by the highest of standards and always holds herself accountable, I couldn’t think of anyone better to take on this role and lead this truly wonderful group we have this year."

As mentioned above, you can come and watch Kylie lead out our Women's side for the first time as we make the short trip to Airbus this Sunday afternoon in the Adran North.

For those of you who are unable to make the trip to support the girls, stay tuned to our club Twitter page for live updates throughout the game.
