It is with regret that The Nomads can confirm the departure of long-standing midfielder, Danny Forde.  This loss due to work commitments meaning that Danny can no longer travel from Manchester for each game and training session forcing him to find a team closer to home.

Manager Mark McGregor said "I cannot thank Fordey enough, he has been here all the way through my time as Manager of The Nomads.  He has got unbelievable energy and commitment, and most of all, he is a 'proper footballer' and whoever he signs for will get a top player.

A few highlights I can think of over the years include a great volley against Aberystwyth in my first season, as well as a headed goal against Rhyl that probably won us the league.  Also, his headed goal this season against Airbus was a major factor in us staying up on our own accord.

Danny deputised as captain for us on many occassions, and did a lot off the pitch for me, and he will always be welcome back at Deeside Stadium - Thanks Fordey!"

Forde himself commented to say: "It's been the best time I've had in football and I'll always have my memories of it all, and I'll be down there getting behind the lads whenever I get chance!"

The Nomads wish Danny all the best in the future.
