The Nomads are pleased to announce the signing of 22 year old midfielder Jamie Crowther.

Crowther arrives at Deeside Stadium from Vanarama Conference North side, Barrow AFC.  Jamie began his career with home town club, Wrexham, and although he picked up Wales U18 honours, never made a first team appearance for the side before moving to Cefn Druids, Stalybridge Celtic and Bangor City.

Whilst at Bangor, Jamie featured in their Europa League squad in 2012 before joining Colwyn Bay before joining Barrow in May 2014.  Jamie joins The Nomads following international clearance and will be available for Sunday’s clash with Newtown, where he will be wearing the number four shirt.

On Crowther’s arrival, Assistant Manager Jay Catton said “Jay is a 22 year old box to box midfielder.  He has fantastic energy and enthusiasm for the game and will be a major signing for ourselves.

At such a young age, he has already achieved so much, being Player of the Season at Colwyn Bay in the Conference North before earning a move to Barrow where we have signed him from.”

Catton continued “After meeting him last week, he shared our vision and ideas with regards to training and play which was great.  When his first question is “Can I do extra sessions with the scholarship players in the week as well as train with the first team?”, you know you have a good signing with drive and desire which fits the mould of player we are after.
