Connah's Quay Nomads are celebrating a total of three title wins at the end of Welsh Football season, with the club's U18s squad becoming Welsh National League Reserves and Colts Division Champions to add to their U19s and first team successes.

Having entered the league as newcomers to the Welsh National League structure at the start of 2019/20 season, Matt Sampson's side took the division by storm to finish top of the the table with 16 wins, two losses and zero draws from 18 games played.

The U18s previously played in the North East Wales League where they got their first taste of senior men's football, before moving to the Reserves and Colts along with close rivals Airbus UK Broughton U18s.

In line with the Football Association of Wales' decision to curtail all leagues from Tiers 1-4, the Nomads U18s were yesterday crowned champions with a points per game standing of 2.67.

It completes an outstanding year for The Nomads' development squad and scholars, who have become Champions twice over as well as supported the first team along their way to the title.

Following the U18s' title win, Will Catterall spoke to Head Coach Matt Sampson on their achievement.
