Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm the departure of Declan Poole following a successful six years with the club.

Poole originally joined The Nomads in November 2016 and made his debut in a Nathaniel MG Cup Semi Final defeat to TNS, but would later score a stunning volley as his first goal for the club against TNS in a 2-1 victory at Deeside Stadium to earn the League's Goal of the Month for March 2017.

In August 2017, Poole became one of the club's first ever full time professional players and would go on to make 135 competitive starts for the club with exactly 100 coming the JD Cymru Premier, scoring 16 goals and providing even more assists during his time at Deeside.

His time at the club would be a decorated one, picking up two JD Cymru Premier titles, two Nathaniel MG Cups, a JD Welsh Cup winners medal along with runner's up medals in both the JD Welsh Cup and Scottish Challenge Cup.

Declan departs to join Buxton FC who were recently promoted from the Northern Premier League into the National League North. Everyone at the club would like to thank Declan for his efforts over the past six years and wish him all the best for the future.
