It is with regret that The Nomads can confirm that defender Mike Pearson has re-fractured his foot.

Pearson joined The Nomads ahead of the 2016/17 season along with former Airbus teammates Ian Kearney and Jay Owen, however is yet to make his debut for The Nomads having fractured a metatarsal in his foot in one of his first training sessions with the side. Since then, under the watchful eye of Club Therapist Gemma Bamford and her assistant, Matt Steel, Pearson has been rehabilitating the injury, making good progress.

Pearson returned to training on Tuesday night this past week and during a light warmup, Pearson felt some discomfort in the same foot. He then went for an X-Ray and it was confirmed that he had re-fractured the same bone in his foot.

The Club are awaiting specialist reports, but it is feared that Pearson could miss the remainder of the 2016/17 season.

Manager Andy Morrison said "It's a nightmare for everyone - the team, me, the Chairman and most of all Mike himeself - four months of hard graft to get back and now he has to start it all over again. I said a few weeks ago in my programme notes that I didn't know whether to laugh or cry given our current league standing considering the amount of injuries we've sustained, but I'm certainly closer to crying now that this has happened!"

In an update to Ian Kearney's situation, he underwent surgery on his damaged knee on Tuesday 4th October and is currently making the most of some award winning technology to assist in his recovery.

Another cold night ahead in this little beauty!! #ACL #roadtorecovery????
