Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm that an agreement has been reached with Ian Kearney to terminate the defender's contract.
Kearney joined The Nomads in June 2016 and was a vital part of the Club's first ever European campaign, playing important roles in the games against Stabaek and FK Vojvodina, however just six games into the 2016/17 Welsh Premier League campaign, Kearney was struck down with a knee injury at Cardiff Met.
The injury kept Kearney out for the remainder of the 2016/17 season, and he returned as a substitute against Cardiff Met in September this year. Unfortunately, Kearney only made a few more appearances before suffering a prolapsed disc in his back which will ultimately keep him out of action for a prolonged period of time.
Kearney made a total of just 14 starts and two substitute appearances in all competitions for The Nomads.
The Nomads wish Ian all the best in his rehabilitation process and in his future.
