Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm that the defensive duo of Mike Pearson and Kai Edwards have left the club to join Llandudno.

They join Llandudno following a successful spell with The Nomads which saw both players play key parts in The Nomads qualifying for Europe and also winning the JD Welsh Cup.

Pearson joined The Nomads in June 2016, however didn't make his Nomads debut until the following season as he was hampered by injury during his first season at Deeside. Pearson went on to make 42 starts for The Nomads in all competitions. Edwards meanwhile joined The Nomads in January 2017 and went on to make 60 starts for Andy Morrison's side netting on four ocassions. Both Pearson and Edwards were part of the Wales C squad which played England in March.

Andy Morrison commented; "Kai and Peo were a pleasure to work with and I can't speak highly enough of them both. We offered them both good contracts but ultimately were unable to match the contracts on offer from Llandudno.

If, in two years time, they have played in four Cup Semi Finals, won the Welsh Cup, enjoyed back-to-back European campaigns and rewritten the history books at Llandudno then it will have been a good football decision along with a very good financial decision.

I wish them all the best."

Everyone at Connah's Quay Nomads would like to wish both Kai and Mike all the best in the future and thank them for their part in the club's recent successes.
